The 18,000-square-foot discount shelter improvement store is in Mountain Gate Plaza at Los Angeles Avenue and First High road, between Rite Aid and the 99 Cent Store.

The doors of Habitat’s new stock—the second in the county— swung open during a complete opening celebration last month.

“We’re very, very excited. We touch like this is a neat opportunity,” said Stacy Swanson, numero uno director of Habitat Ventura County. “We’re energetic to open a business in Simi Valley, creating some jobs there as well as creating this chance for people to donate, shop and recycle. It’s going to be skilled.”

Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing the cloth that works to provide housing by building simple, decent homes in partnership with people in stress. Since 1983, Habitat Ventura County has repaired more than 500 homes and built more than 50 new houses, three in Simi Valley.
