 If customary outside of the house, can progressive side of a double door at the main entrance to the house be used as the pure (functional) door? Is this acceptable? The door would be stationary on the right side as you go in.
Acceptable or not?

 Yes, it is delicious. My aunt and uncle living is double doors, and the left side (rank outside and facing the door) is and has always been their strongest door! This is all according to preferences.

How do I know whether the double entry door installed correctly or not? like the gap between the two doors?
