How do you tarnish brass?
I bought new brass curtain fittings (brackets, curtain rings, curtain rod and end caps). I put spot remover on them to remove the lacquer, but I would be tarnished quickly so that I can put in place. I want to look like those old and new are not exceptionally bright.
A quicker way to spot brass is to use vinegar ... Brush vinegar justified on the proportion of copper and wait a day or two. To speed up the organization, exposing the brass parts in the sun after brushing on the vinegar.
disassembling Hampton Bay ceiling fan?
I am disassembling my ceiling fan after the ball bearings ceased up and i got down to the motor and the mount that has the catch cord to turn the superficial on or off it is mounted to a brass bracket on the ceiling and it has no more screws and won't budge, what do I do next,
When you say you're down to the motor, straight how much have you disassembled so far. You should have shut down the verve supply first, then removed the blades, then the outer decorative motor mantle, (which is held in place by 4 limited screws very close to the ceiling), then the motor would be exposed and is held
